Job summary

General Motors LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the AI Quality and Productivity team within Product Validation, Safety and Quality IT. You will design data‑driven, AI‑enabled software for Product Development engineering, using Java, Python, SQL, and Databricks, with a focus on data quality and performance.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with data scientists, and help standardize patterns for cloud‑based data and AI integrations across VEQ, while contributing to modernization

Qualifications

• 6+ years delivering enterprise software using Java/JEE, Python, and Angular.
• Experience with complex SQL queries and data pipelines on cloud platforms.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes/Docker and CI/CD pipelines in modern environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data-driven and AI-enabled applications and services.
• Write performant SQL for complex data transformations across enterprise data platforms.
• Build data pipelines in Databricks and related tools for batch and near real-time processing.
• Develop backend services and APIs in Java and Python that integrate data and workflows.
• Collaborate with data science/AI teams to productionize AI/LLM solutions and monitor them.
