Job summary

VDart seeks an AI and Data Engineer to build and operate AI agents that orchestrate data workflows across on-prem and AWS cloud environments. You will work with stakeholders to design scalable data applications using Snowflake and Starburst, emphasizing secure, observable, and well-tested solutions.

You will implement multi-step AI-driven processes, integrate enterprise APIs, and ensure governance and auditability while delivering data products and BI artifacts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools across the software lifecycle.
• 3+ years of cloud-native development on AWS including serverless/containers.
• Experience Python/Java/TypeScript and SQL for enterprise use cases.
• Experience designing agent tools, API clients, and automated tests.

Responsibilities

• Use GitHub Copilot to analyze code and implement production-quality changes, write tests and docs.
• Design, build, test, and operate AI agents for multi-step workflows.
• Develop MCP integrations to securely connect AI to enterprise APIs and platforms.
• Define agent evaluation, observability, and safety controls.
• Develop data mesh and data fabric architectures for decentralized data management.
• Design and deploy cloud-native AI/data solutions on AWS.
