Job summary

KSM is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Indianapolis to design and build backend services that ingest, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources. You’ll work with stakeholders to translate complex business processes into robust, scalable systems, focusing on data and AI-driven capabilities and reliable production-grade code.

You’ll contribute to end-to-end pipelines, model APIs, and governance, with a focus on security, testing, and maintainability in a fast-paced advisory

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience with backend and/or data engineering.
• Experience shipping LLM-powered applications to production with data pipelines and model APIs.
• Knowledge of designing agentic AI workflows, orchestration, and monitoring.
• Strong Python for backend development and data processing.

Responsibilities

• Build backend logic, services, and APIs to integrate, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business workflows into scalable architectures.
• Provide leadership in data and AI systems and review code for quality and security.
• Develop testing frameworks and evaluation infrastructure for non-deterministic systems.
• Design data architectures and pipelines that unify disparate systems for reasoning.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation as systems evolve.
