Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a senior architect to lead the architectural foundation for AI and data-management initiatives across IDMC and the Salesforce ecosystem. You will be a hands-on contributor who designs systems, writes code, and guides engineers through complex technical challenges.

Qualifications

• 12+ years building scalable SaaS applications and platforms.
• Ability to craft and deliver large, cross-cutting projects.
• Experience as an architectural decision-maker and standards setter.
• Deep data-management and data-platform expertise.
• Experience with AI/GenAI platforms at scale (RAG, vector search, LLM orchestration).
• Strong OO programming with Java; familiarity with JS frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, implement, test, and deliver highly scalable AI and data-management products—hands-on from design to production.
• Serve as a final architectural authority, reviewing major initiatives and enforcing standards.
• Define principles, roadmaps, and ensure alignment with security, cloud, and cost objectives.
• Own software architecture and enterprise capabilities: scalability, fault-tolerance, security, observability.
• Mentor architects and engineers, and evangelize architectural direction across the org.
• Collaborate with Dev, QA, PM, and UX to ensure features meet business and quality needs.
• Lead thought leadership through blogs, papers, and industry presentations.
