Job summary

Zendesk is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer in San Francisco to lead AI-powered CX/ES solutions, guiding customers from discovery through pilot and scale. You will collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to design demos and ensure solutions align with security and compliance while driving measurable ROI.

In this role, you’ll champion AI capabilities, craft clear business narratives, and influence product direction.

Qualifications

5+ years in presales or solutions consulting in SaaS/CX environments
Strong knowledge of web/scripting tech and SaaS architectures
Proven experience designing pilots and proofs of concept that show business value

Responsibilities

Lead technical and business discovery to understand customer challenges and design demos
Architect AI-driven CX/ES solutions with clear business narratives for IT to C-suite
Own end-to-end technical engagement from qualification to pilot execution
Integrate solutions using Zendesk APIs, middleware, and cloud platforms
Collaborate across functions to align customer needs with product roadmap
Measure ROI with Zendesk analytics and AI performance metrics
Champion AI adoption through value realization initiatives
Stay current on AI, automation, CX, and ES trends
