Job summary

Capital One seeks a Senior Distinguished Engineer to architect and scale a multi-tenant AI platform, delivering real-time and batch ML workloads. You will drive distributed compute solutions with Ray and Spark, mentor engineers, and shape strategic technical directions across teams.

You will partner with product and program management, lead system design reviews, and help recruit top talent, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure AI infrastructure across the enterprise.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with strong AI/ML background.
10+ years programming experience; Python/Go/Scala/Java.
Experience with distributed systems and large-scale ML platforms.

Responsibilities

Architect and build high-availability, multi-tenant ML platform components.
Develop Ray and Spark-based compute engines for ML workloads.
Automate KTLO workflows and improve operational excellence.
Direct technical execution across projects and mentor team members.
Collaborate with product, program, and partners to optimize outcomes.
Lead design reviews and foster tech communities across Capital One.
