Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Distinguished AI Engineer to architect and scale a multi-tenant AI platform. You will drive distributed compute solutions with Ray and Spark, optimize runtime environments, and partner with product management across Capital One to deliver scalable AI capabilities.

You will mentor engineers, lead system design reviews, and recruit external talent to strengthen Capital One’s tech leadership in AI and ML infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with required years of experience as stated in the qualifications.
• Experience programming with Python, Go, Scala, or Java.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build control and data plane implementations for a highly available, multi-tenant ML platform.
• Develop Ray and Spark compute engine solutions to accelerate diverse workloads including LLM training and data processing.
• Automate KTLO workflows and improve operational excellence.
• Lead technical execution across distributed microservices and large foundation models.
