Job summary

G2i is seeking a Senior-to-Staff level engineer to remotely evaluate how AI coding agents behave in real-world tasks. You will judge if responses make sense, if the preamble is helpful, and whether outputs reflect strong engineering judgment.

You will provide concise, opinionated feedback in writing and help define what great looks like for tools like Codex, Claude Code and Cursor. This is a non-production, evaluation-focused role with flexible 10–20 hours/week and remote worldwide eligibility.

Qualifications

• Senior, Staff or Principal-level engineer with strong English
• Deep expertise in TypeScript/JavaScript or Python
• Hands-on with at least one AI coding tool (Codex, Claude Code or Cursor)
• Experience evaluating AI-assisted development workflows
• Ability to provide clear, opinionated feedback in writing

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated coding interactions end to end
• Judge whether outputs are useful, correct at a high level, and aligned with how a strong engineer would think
• Assess the quality of explanations and reasoning, not just the code
• Distinguish between levels of response quality (what makes something a 2 vs a 4)
• Give clear, opinionated feedback in writing on what worked, what didn't, and what felt off or misleading
• Help define what great looks like when working with tools like Cursor, Codex and Claude Code
