Job summary

G2i Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, AI Training for a remote contract role. You will evaluate how AI coding agents perform in real-world scenarios, focusing on the usefulness, correctness, and engineering judgment behind the responses.

You’ll assess explanations and reasoning rather than just code, and deliver clear, opinionated feedback to help define high-quality interactions with Codex, Claude Code or Cursor for experienced developers.

Qualifications

• Senior, Staff or Principal-level engineer with relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with OpenAI Codex, Claude Code or Cursor.
• Deep familiarity with modern AI-assisted development workflows.
• Ability to evaluate code without executing it or reviewing every line.
• Strong written and spoken English (B2 or higher).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated coding interactions end to end.
• Judge usefulness, correctness at a high level, and engineering judgment.
• Assess explanations and reasoning, not just code.
• Distinguish between levels of response quality.
• Provide clear, opinionated written feedback.
• Help define what great looks like when using AI coding tools.
