Job summary

Mechanics Bank is seeking a Sr. AI Catalyst to lead highly complex, cross-functional AI innovations across multiple business units. You will mentor junior Catalysts, shape intake and prioritization, and represent the team in governance and executive discussions.

You will partner with Senior AI Creators via Paired Innovation, drive adoption metrics, and present strategic recommendations to leadership. This role reports to the Director, AI Innovation and requires strong executive presence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in strategy, program management, or innovation leadership in complex environments.
• Minimum 3 years managing cross-functional initiatives with executive communication.
• 8+ years in financial services, banking, or regulated industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the highest-complexity, cross-functional innovation initiatives across multiple units.
• Mentor associates on stakeholder management and BRD quality.
• Shape the team's intake and prioritization process reflecting strategic value.
• Represent the AI Innovation team in governance, compliance and leadership discussions.
• Partner with Senior AI Creators in Paired Innovation on complex builds.
• Present outcomes and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Own the implementation follow-up framework with post-production metrics.
• Lead quarterly innovation showcases and contribute to team culture.
