Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Senior Business Systems Engineer, AI Capability Lead to drive technology strategy for Medical Affairs and Health Impact. You will coordinate AI initiatives, shape scalable solutions, and align with AbbVie platforms and standards.

You will partner with BRMs, architects, and delivery teams to ensure feasible, compliant AI programs and a clear integrated AI roadmap across MHI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years in business systems engineering, technology capability leadership, or related IT roles.
• Master's degree with 7+ years in relevant fields or PhD with 3+ years in related roles.
• Experience translating business problems into technology capabilities and delivery approaches.
• Strong collaboration with BRMs, architects, platform owners, and delivery teams.
• Knowledge of generative AI, large language models, AI agents, and enterprise AI platforms.

Responsibilities

• Engage stakeholders to understand business drivers and AI opportunities.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and reuse opportunities in technology solutions.
• Own and maintain the MHI AI technology roadmap and align with strategies.
• Shape scalable AI-enabled solutions and evaluate build, buy, or reuse options.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, standards, and compliant practices.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, platform teams, and security/privacy SMEs to assess options.
