Job summary

Expert Technology Services seeks a Senior Software Engineer I (AI) to build and enhance production-grade backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot. You will work with AI-assisted tools to accelerate development, review AI-generated code for quality, and ensure security and performance.

• Proficient in Java and Spring Boot for backend services.
• Experience designing APIs and microservices with scalable architectures.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance production-grade backend services, APIs, and microservices using Java, Spring Boot.
• Utilize AI-native tooling to accelerate coding, testing, and docs.
• Review AI-generated code for correctness, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Integrate services with workflow platforms (Temporal.io, Camunda) for automation.
• Collaborate with AI-Native Tech Lead and cross-functional teams to deliver features.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and communicate tradeoffs.
• Ensure secure coding practices and SDLC compliance.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments (OpenShift/Kubernetes, AWS).
• Continue to expand knowledge in AI-assisted development and refine practices.
• Complete annual performance objectives and support special projects.
