Job summary

Waymo is seeking a senior engineering leader to define the technical vision and architecture for autonomous, multi-agent systems within the DUE Experience team.

You will drive exploration of agentic technologies, design scalable frameworks with dynamic tool use, and collaborate across teams to advance the Waymo Driver evaluation lifecycle while mentoring engineers and turning big ideas into actionable roadmaps. The role demands strong communication and leadership in a fast-evolving field.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering with large-scale systems.
• Deep AI/ML expertise, with hands-on agent-based systems and LLM integration.
• Ability to define technical strategy and influence senior leaders.
• Strong leadership and track record of agent-based solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.

Responsibilities

• Define technical vision and architectural strategy for autonomous, multi-agent systems within DUE Experience.
• Lead exploration and application of state-of-the-art agentic technologies to automate triage workflows.
• Architect scalable agentic frameworks with dynamic tool use and multi-step orchestration.
