Job summary

Waymo is seeking a seasoned software engineer to advance the Waymo DevAI program, developing multi-agent frameworks and tools that speed up writing and testing code for engineers.

You will build agentic flows, tackle root cause analysis, and productionize state-of-the-art LLMs within Waymo's production environment, collaborating across engineering teams to drive adoption of new DevAI solutions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and deploying multi-agent frameworks and agentic AI systems.
• Deep understanding of modern software development lifecycles and velocity for developers.
• Proven track record of spec-driven development methodologies to build robust software.
• Strong expertise in large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering and RAG.
• Proficiency in architecting and delivering large-scale software systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop multi-agent frameworks and tools to accelerate coding and testing for engineers.
• Design and deploy agentic flows to automate complex engineering tasks (root-cause analysis, automated triage).
• Create specialized agents for perception debugging to speed troubleshooting of real-world and simulated driving.
• Productionize AI models by building data pipelines and evaluation strategies for deployable LLMs and agentic solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand workflows and drive adoption of DevAI tools.
