Job summary

Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc in Irvine, CA is seeking a senior AI and automation leader to set the direction for a domain, integrating agentic tools into CI, infrastructure and SDLC workflows, and mentoring engineers. You will partner with cross-functional teams, scale platforms with multi-agent orchestration, and define best practices for AI-driven automation across engineering, testing and deployment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Eng, or related field; Master’s preferred.
12–15 years developing tools for CI, test automation, infrastructure build/planning and domain/tool direction-setting.
Deep technical leadership across AI tools, automation and test engineering for a domain or product area, with AWS/GCP and cloud infra experience.
Experience directing development of AI-assisted automation tools within engineering workflows, including multi-step agent workflows.

Responsibilities

Set AI and Automation direction for a domain or product area, embedding agentic tools as primary methodology for CI, infra and SDLC workflows.
Serve as a senior escalation point for AI, automation and infrastructure decisions across teams.
Build multi-agentic orchestration platforms to scale engineering and accelerate workflows.
Define and adopt AI implementation best practices across teams.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align AI automation with business needs.
