Job summary

NBCUniversal is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Automation Engineering, to design and build AI-enabled automation systems and production-grade Python software that support NBCUniversal’s data collaboration ecosystem.

The role focuses on creating reliable, reusable tools, guidance on CI/CD, and partnering with product, engineering, operations, and data-platform teams to scale repeatable solutions for audience activation, measurement, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
• 5+ years of production-grade Python software experience.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, vector databases, prompt engineering, or LangChain/LangGraph/LlamaIndex.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain production-grade Python applications and services.
• Develop AI agents and automation workflows for data platforms and audience activation.
• Create reusable libraries and patterns to standardize engineering across partners.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and best practices.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, operations, and data platform teams.
