Job summary

United Airlines is seeking a Senior Developer - AI in Chicago to design and build scalable AI automation solutions and agentic workflows. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical implementations and maintain high-quality code across Python, TypeScript, and .NET/C#.

You will contribute to architecture decisions, optimize RAG patterns, and leverage AWS cloud services to deploy AI at scale in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in software design and development.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience with TypeScript and .NET/C# development.
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented design and application development.
• Experience implementing AWS technologies.
• Strong API development and integration skills.
• Experience with Cloud Automation Development Tools.
• Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL databases and design patterns.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI agents and agentic workflows.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers, data scientists, and product teams.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Write clean, well-documented code in Python, TypeScript, and .NET/C#.
• Participate in Agile software development lifecycle and design decisions.
• Support, maintain, and document AI agent functionality and workflows.
