Job summary

Apple, Inc. in Sunnyvale, California, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Enterprise Technology Services to design, build, and oversee AI automation solutions.

You will implement generative and agentic AI, workflow orchestration, and scalable automation across business functions. Collaborating with IT, engineering, and operations, you will shape the automation operating model, ensure governance and responsible AI, and mentor engineers while delivering measurable business impact like hours

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years in application development building reliable, scalable systems.
• Strong proficiency in Java and/or Python with OO design skills.
• Hands-on GenAI experience including RAG, prompts, embeddings, and vector stores.
• Experience tailoring GenAI and automation to complex business environments.
• Experience designing APIs and integrating with ERP/CRM/ITSM systems.
• Cloud, containers, and CI/CD familiarity; Agile methods desirable.

Responsibilities

• Tailor GenAI and automation platforms for diverse business needs.
• Deploy AI agents, LLM-powered workflows, and data models in production.
• Define automation operating model, governance, and delivery standards.
• Build reusable components and patterns to scale automation.
• Design evaluation frameworks for accuracy, drift, and reliability.
• Implement observability, logging, and cost tracking for AI workloads.
