Apple, Inc. is seeking a seasoned AI Application Engineer in the San Francisco Bay Area to design, build, and deploy intelligent systems powered by ML and LLMs.

You will work at the intersection of applied AI and software engineering to translate research into practical, scalable tools for Apple hardware programs. You will shape the AI foundation, adopt enterprise AI solutions, and deliver production-ready workflows that empower engineering teams to make faster, smarter decisions.

Qualifications

• BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience.
• Strong understanding of generative AI models, particularly LLMs.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Excellent software engineering skills with modular and object-oriented design.
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and drive decision-making under uncertainty.
• Self-driven with strong problem-solving skills in ambiguous, early-stage environments.

Responsabilités

• Serve as a founding engineer to shape the team's AI technical foundation and roadmap.
• Identify gaps and opportunities in hardware engineering workflows where AI can bring impact.
• Partner with hardware teams to define features and scope for AI solutions.
• Evaluate and adopt enterprise AI solutions from across Apple, and introduce custom workflows.
• Benchmark, adapt, and integrate AI/ML models into existing software systems.
• Architect and implement end-to-end software solutions where existing platforms fall short.
• Deploy and support AI tools, including user interfaces, for our hardware engineering teams.
