Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino, California, seeks a Senior GenAI Engineer to join the Apple Cloud AI Agent Platform.

You’ll shape and scale the platform that powers GenAI development and deployment across Apple products. Design capabilities for agent orchestration, RAG, model configuration, prompt tooling, and secure runtimes, collaborating with engineers, product teams, and security to deliver a robust developer experience.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of machine learning and software development
• 1+ years of technical leadership guiding teams
• Experience building GenAI platforms enabling agents and orchestration
• Experience building AI agents with multi-step reasoning and tool usage
• Experience building Agent Harnesses with secure runtimes (Agent Sandboxes)
• Understanding of AI security, policy enforcement, and access control
• Knowledge of LLMs, embedding, and RAG for data retrieval
• Strong programming skills in Python/Java
• Ability to influence product development cross-functionally
• Passion for automation and scalable AI infra

Responsibilities

• Design platform capabilities: agent orchestration, RAG, model config, prompt tooling, and RL/finetuning pipelines
• Drive LLM/Agent optimization: caching, prompting, latency improvements
• Define the technical roadmap and strategy for Apple Cloud AI GenAI components
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations to adopt GenAI capabilities
• Build reusable AI agents to enhance productivity and automate reasoning
• Mentor new hires and engineers, fostering platform mindset
• Establish best practices for engineering excellence and developer experience
• Promote an inclusive, innovation-driven team culture
