Humana is seeking a Lead AI Automation Engineer to provide hands-on technical leadership for designing, engineering, and productionizing AI-enabled automation within the Data Governance organization. The role focuses on building reliable automation products and agentic workflows, combining LLMs, deterministic logic, and low-code tools with strong production practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
5+ years in software engineering or enterprise systems integration.
2+ years building AI/ML or agentic automation with production deployment.
Experience leading solution design, code reviews, and engineering patterns.

Responsibilities

Lead the technical design and hands-on development of AI-enabled automations, agentic workflows, and intelligent process orchestration for enterprise Data Governance use cases.
Build solutions that combine large language models, deterministic business logic, workflow engines, APIs, enterprise data, and human-in-the-loop controls.
Design reusable automation frameworks, services, connectors, prompts, tools, and patterns that accelerate delivery across governance workflows.
Own production readiness and operational support, including CI/CD, release management, telemetry, incident troubleshooting, and responsible AI controls.
