AbbVie is seeking an ambitious Lead AI Automation Engineer to design and deliver AI-powered automation that improves HR and corporate services workflows. You’ll bridge business needs with technical execution, architect end-to-end solutions, and mentor a team while driving measurable ROI.

Hybrid role on-site Tue–Thu in Lake County, IL. You will guide the development of scalable automation, prototype quickly, and ensure production-grade quality across enterprise systems.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree with 7 years of experience; Master’s with 6 years; or PhD with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Python proficiency— expert-level ability to write production-quality code for automation, AI/ML implementations, and enterprise integrations.
• Familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, or equivalent technologies.
• Proficiency in designing and deploying AI integrations using MCP and RAG concepts.
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks and understanding of LLM orchestration, agentic workflows, and prompt engineering.
• Proven ability to deliver and maintain production-grade software in enterprise environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills with ability to understand business processes and automation opportunities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Operate with high autonomy; mentor technical staff and lead cross-functional teams across time zones.

Responsabilidades

• Engage with Corporate Services and HR stakeholders to map current-state processes and translate them into technical designs.
• Engineer and implement scalable AI automation solutions with production-quality code.
• Prioritize rapid prototyping and MVPs; validate with stakeholders and iterate to accelerate value.
• Cultivate cross-team relationships and identify shared platforms to maximize internal resources.
