EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Lead AI Engineer to architect and guide a greenfield FinOps AI platform featuring 8 autonomous agents across a multi-cloud (GCP/AWS) environment. You will oversee governance, security, and orchestration while mentoring senior engineers and aligning with architectural standards.

You will drive LLM governance, cost controls, and robust API-focused integration, delivering high-scale autonomous services with strong compliance and security foundations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering with 3+ years in leadership for multi-agent AI or FinOps platforms.
• Proficiency in Python 3.11+, FastMCP, FastAPI, and Pydantic; integration with core services.
• Hands-on with Google ADK, Vertex AI, LiteLLM, and guardrails; structured tool output parsing.
• GCP focused experience (BigQuery, GKE, Workload Identity) and OLAP data design.
• Security mindset: Zero Trust, OAuth, RBAC, immutable audit logging, RFC-style specs.
• DevOps: Docker builds, GKE patterns, Terraform/CD pipelines; strong mentoring ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and orchestration of 8 specialized AI agents in a multi-cloud platform.
• Govern LLM routing, cost control, and agent self-governance tracking (Tokenomics).
• Establish strict SOX-adjacent controls and separation-of-duties workflows.
• Oversee Action Gateway architecture for API invocations and event-driven flows.
• Set coding standards, review RFC contracts, and ensure schema compliance.
