Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc. seeks a Lead AI Engineer to architect and lead a multi-agent FinOps AI platform in a multi-cloud GCP/AWS setup. You will oversee 8 specialized agents, enforce Zero Trust security, and guide a team of senior engineers in delivering scalable autonomous services.

You will report to the Technical Product Manager and collaborate with Solution, Platform, and Enterprise Architects while ensuring compliance and governance across the stack.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in a technical leadership capacity building multi-agent AI systems, FinOps tools, or LLM-powered platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Python 3.11+, FastMCP, FastAPI, and Pydantic.
• Prior experience with object-oriented enterprise languages (e.g., Java) for seamless integration with core platform services and backend APIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of 8 specialized agents using Python, FastMCP, and GCP Workload Identity.
• Enforce centralized LLM routing and governance, monitor and cap operating costs within platform limits.
• Architect execution boundaries and segregation-of-duties workflows for SOX-adjacent processes.
• Oversee the platform architecture of the Action Gateway for API invocations, event-driven workflows, and ticketing integration.
• Mentor and set standards across repositories, enforce RFC error formats, API contracts, and schema compliance.
