Job summary

Lenovo is seeking a highly experienced Sr. AI Architect to lead the design and implementation of next-gen AI systems.

You will shape the overall technical direction, architecture, and scalability of our AI platform, guiding engineering teams and driving innovation in a rapidly evolving field. The ideal candidate is a deep generalist with expertise across the AI stack—from foundational models to application-level agents—and can articulate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or advanced degree in Computer Science, AI, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience designing and implementing AI systems.
• Strong knowledge of AI models, LLMs, and transformer architectures.
• Hands-on experience with multimodal models and Python.
• Experience with vector databases and knowledge graphs.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the architecture of AI systems for scalability and performance.
• Lead training and fine-tuning of AI models including SFT, LoRA, and prompt tuning.
• Guide agent design with intent understanding, planning, and tool calls.
• Develop knowledge management systems including vector databases and knowledge graphs.
• Collaborate with product, data science, and engineering teams to deliver AI solutions.
• Create comprehensive system documentation.
