Job summary

UKG seeks a distinguished Fellow AI Engineer to define and lead its enterprise-wide Agentic AI strategy across the product portfolio. You will shape architecture for autonomous agents, collaborate with customers and sales, and guide governance, safety, and scalable deployment.

You will partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Security, and Legal to drive responsible AI, production readiness, and business impact while influencing pricing and packaging with leadership.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, AI, ML, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years in software development and AI, with 5+ years in generative AI, NLP, or related fields.
• Proven experience architecting and deploying large-scale AI/ML systems in production.
• Strong ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders, including customer-facing teams.
• Proficiency in Python/Java and AI frameworks; strong cloud platform familiarity (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Knowledge of generative AI methods, transformers, diffusion models, LLMs, and multi-modal architectures.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead UKG’s enterprise Agentic AI strategy and architecture.
• Engage with customers, sales, and solutions to shape AI value propositions and use cases.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Security, and Legal to ensure governance and production readiness.
• Provide hands-on architectural leadership for multi-agent systems and tool-use architectures.
• Stay at the forefront of AI advancements and incubate next-generation capabilities.
• Influence GTM and product decisions, including pricing and monetization of AI.
• Champion Responsible AI, governance, transparency, and privacy-preserving approaches.
• Mentor engineers and architects to raise AI maturity across the organization.
• Represent UKG as a thought leader in Agentic AI.
