Job summary

New York Life is seeking an AI Analyst to shape the company’s AI-enabled digital landscape. You will translate business needs into AI use cases, lead model development with Python and LLM APIs, and work with cross-functional teams to integrate AI into enterprise platforms.

This senior role focuses on experimentation, deployment, and scale. You’ll drive data pipelines, model evaluation, and practical AI solutions across customer insights, sales enablement, and automation, in a hybrid work setting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of analytics or data science experience.
• Proficiency in Python and GenAI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude, Azure OpenAI).
• Strong SQL and data pipeline development; DBT experience a plus.
• Hands-on cloud experience (AWS preferred) and analytics environments like Databricks.
• Understanding of model evaluation, interpretability, and operationalization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Translate business problems into AI use cases with business leaders to deliver intelligent automation and insights.
• Lead AI model development and deployment using Python, Hugging Face, and LLM APIs.
• Prototype and fine-tune large language models for summarization, recommendations, and knowledge retrieval.
• Collaborate with data engineers, software developers, and product managers to integrate AI into enterprise platforms.
• Create robust data pipelines for ML and inference workflows.
• Develop visualizations and documentation to support stakeholder communication and model explainability.
• Stay current on AI trends and contribute to enterprise AI/ML strategy.
