Job summary

Brooksource is seeking a senior engineer to advance agentic AI and scalable software in a hybrid Charlotte, NC environment. You will design, build, and govern AI-enabled applications across AWS/Azure, leveraging LLMs and orchestration frameworks.

This role blends strong software fundamentals with emerging AI tech to deliver secure, high-quality systems and reusable patterns. You will mentor peers, set engineering standards, and collaborate with Product Owners to translate business needs into

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience delivering enterprise software in production.
• Proficiency in Python, C#, Java, TypeScript, or Go.
• Experience building cloud-native solutions in AWS and/or Azure (CI/CD, APIs, containers).
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and LLM integrations.
• Strong fundamentals: design patterns, testing, refactoring, clean architecture, code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop agentic AI solutions using LLMs and orchestration frameworks.
• Build AI-enabled apps on AWS/Azure, with enterprise integrations.
• Lead software delivery using Spec-Driven Development (SDD).
• Review code for quality, security, and architectural alignment.
• Develop reusable frameworks, templates, and engineering standards.
• Provide feasibility assessments, estimates, and solution recommendations with stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and coaching.
