The role sits at the intersection of applied AI, distributed systems, and product engineering, focusing on real-work deployments and production failures while operating in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• 9-12+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong record in software or applied machine-learning engineering with ownership of production systems.
• Hands‑on evidence of shipping large‑language‑model applications, agents, or complex model‑driven workflows.
• Strong capability in Python, TypeScript, or another language used for production services.
• Experience with model APIs, structured outputs, retrieval, tool use, and evaluation of variable behavior.
• Experience with asynchronous work, state, concurrency, idempotency, retries, and failure recovery.
• Experience implementing access boundaries and scoped authority for applications or automated workloads.
• Evidence of improving live systems through traces, metrics, logs, incident analysis, and durable remediation.
• Up to 50% travel and hybrid office capability.

Responsibilities

• Choose the right execution model and design agent architectures.
• Build dependable tools with clear contracts and error handling.
• Engineer agent behavior, planning, routing, and handoffs across workflows.
• Create durable context from instructions, user state and memory.
• Bound agent authority with scoped identities and budgets.
• Evaluate trajectories with tests that measure verified outcomes and recovery.
• Operate long-running execution with durable state and safe retries.
• Make behavior observable with end-to-end traces and replay.
• Protect user control with clear intervention points.
• Collaborate across teams to publish reusable agent patterns.
