Job summary

Relativity is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own production agents end to end across the full stack. You will design tools, prompts, context, and frontend experiences in Word or web, and lead evaluations and infrastructure work with the founders and engineering teams.

You will work remotely within the United States, with potential collaboration across Seattle or Chicago locations, and contribute to a modern, scalable software lifecycle for high-stakes legal tech products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production software experience in service-oriented, continuously deployed teams.
• Experience shipping LLM-powered features to real users in launched projects.
• Experience building full-stack web and agentic applications.
• Cloud service development with AWS/Azure or equivalent, incl. containers & CI/CD.
• Fluency in TypeScript or Python; React frontend and Node/Python services.
• Experience writing tests to prevent regressions.
• Strong API design, data modeling, concurrency and reliability fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship agents and capabilities end to end across full stack.
• Lead tool design, prompts, context work, and evaluation sets for agents.
• Measure acceptance, latency, and cost per agent; instrument production.
• Contribute to shared infrastructure: harness, context, retrieval, routing, observability.
• Follow modern SDLC with small commits, feature flags, rapid rollbacks.
• Debug non-deterministic failures, retrieval misses, tool-call errors, and regressions.
• Review code, mentor engineers, and document technical decisions for teams.
