Valiant Technologies LLC in California seeks an experienced AI Agent Engineer to design, build, and deploy production-grade AI agents and multi-agent workflows. The role emphasizes a builder mindset, translating complex business workflows into reliable agentic solutions, and owning the end-to-end lifecycle from discovery to deployment.

You will work with product managers and domain experts to define requirements, implement orchestration, and ensure guardrails and human-in-the-loop approvals.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, backend and production systems.
• 2+ years building AI agents and production apps using code.
• Strong experience with LLM APIs, agent frameworks, and multi-agent orchestration.
• Experience designing and deploying production-grade backend services and REST APIs.
• Experience with tool calling, context/state management, error handling, and evaluation mechanisms.
• Strong understanding of system design, data structures, access control, and scalable architecture.
• Ownership of solutions end-to-end from requirements to deployment and production support.
• Ability to work through ambiguity and collaborate with stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Understand business workflows with PMs and domain experts to define requirements and success criteria.
• Design, build, test, and deploy production-grade AI agents, automations, and internal tools using LLM APIs, coding agents, and agent frameworks.
• Build multi-agent workflows that automate complex business processes and coordinate through defined workflows and handoffs.
• Develop reliable agent orchestration including tool integrations, context/state management, retries, caching, and failure handling.
• Build and maintain backend services, APIs, integrations, and data models for agent-powered applications.
• Integrate AI agents with internal platforms, business systems, and external tools via APIs and integrations.
• Implement evaluation frameworks, guardrails, quality checks, and human-in-the-loop approvals for reliability.
• Follow software engineering practices including version control, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and staged deployments.
• Monitor production agent performance and continuously optimize workflows based on measurable outcomes.
