Job summary

Brooksource is expanding its AI and automation capabilities and seeks an experienced AI Agent & Automation Engineer to design, build, deploy, and support production automation and AI agents in AWS. You will combine Python development, APIs, enterprise integrations, and agentic AI to transform business processes into scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years in automation/engineering or similar senior technical roles.
• Hands-on experience building production automations.
• Strong Python development across APIs, data transformations, and logging.
• Hands-on AWS experience with Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge and security.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and support production business automations and AI agents.
• Develop Python components for logic, data transformation, API interactions, and workflows.
• Create reusable APIs and agent tools using REST/OpenAPI and AWS services.
• Build integrations across enterprise apps with API calls, webhooks, and events.
• Translate business requirements into automation delivering measurable value.
• Manage code, CI/CD, IaC, testing, multi-environment deployment, and rollback.
• Implement security, observability, and cost controls in production solutions.
• Provide mentoring and knowledge transfer for automation engineering practices.
