Job summary

EY is seeking a senior technical leader to build robust, auditable AI agents and orchestrate large-scale, production-grade workflows. You will shape decision-making, tool integration, and cross-team collaboration while ensuring safe, observable behavior across complex enterprise systems.

The role combines applied AI, distributed systems, and product engineering with emphasis on reliability, governance, and operational readiness. Travel up to 50% and hybrid office engagement are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and strong production or applied AI background.
• Hands-on shipping experience with large-scale ML or agent systems.
• Solid Python/TypeScript or equivalent production language experience.
• Experience with model APIs, structured outputs, and evaluation of behavior.
• Ability to manage asynchronous work, state, retries, and failure recovery.
• Experience implementing access boundaries and scoped authority.

Responsibilities

• Select execution models and design deterministic vs. autonomous agent workflows.
• Build dependable tools and interfaces with clear contracts and safe error handling.
• Shape agent behavior across planning, routing, delegation, and handoffs.
• Create durable context using instructions, user state, and memory.
• Implement scoped identities and budgets to bound agent authority.
• Measure complete trajectories with tests for verified outcomes and recovery.
• Operate long-running execution with durable state and versioned releases.
• Ensure observable behavior with end-to-end traces and replayability.
• Protect user control with clear intervention points and safe resume.
• Collaborate across product/platform/security/evaluation teams.
