EY is looking for a senior AI/Applied ML engineer to build AI agents that execute end-to-end workflows across complex enterprise systems. You will architect deterministic agent loops, durable contexts, and safe autonomy within governance constraints while delivering measurable business value.

The role blends applied AI, distributed systems, and product engineering, with long-running behavior, enterprise integrations, and handling difficult production failures.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• 7–9 years of software or applied ML engineering experience with ownership of production systems.
• Hands‑on evidence of shipping large‑language‑model applications, agents, or complex model‑driven workflows used for real work.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or another language used for production services and integrations.
• Experience with model APIs, structured outputs, retrieval, tool use, and evaluation of variable behavior.
• Practical command of asynchronous work, state, concurrency, retries, and failure recovery.
• Experience implementing access boundaries and scoped authority for applications or automated workloads.
• Evidence of improving live systems through traces, metrics, logs, incident analysis, and durable remediation.
• Travel and On‑site requirements: up to 50% travel and hybrid office capacity.

Responsabilidades

• Design agent architectures that use deterministic steps, a single-agent loop, or coordinated agents when justified by performance.
• Create connectors and interfaces with clear contracts and validated outcomes.
• Shape planning, routing, delegation, stopping, retry, and handoff behavior across workflows.
• Combine instructions, user state, retrieval, memory, and environment feedback while preserving relevance and access.
• Implement scoped identities, credentials, budgets, and emergency containment for agent control.
• Build tests that measure verified task success, tool use, recovery, and human takeover in full trajectories.
• Use durable state, checkpointing, safe retries, versioned releases, and graceful degradation for long-running execution.
• Instrument end-to-end traces and replay to diagnose failures and improve production systems.
• Enable user intervention with clear points to inspect, interrupt, redirect, or resume agent work.
• Publish reusable agent patterns and operational lessons across teams.
