Job summary

Syngenta seeks an Agronomic Research Scientist in Waterloo, NE to conduct comprehensive agronomic studies on corn and soybean varieties. You will support marketing and sales goals by delivering valuable agronomic content and acting as a trusted advisor to NK and Golden Harvest brands.

The role involves leading field trials, collaborating with sales and agronomy teams, and delivering technically sound results with clear communication.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. and/or M.S. in Agronomy or related field preferred.
• 5+ years in commercial or R&D agronomy with data analysis.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of farming best practices and crop protection.
• Ability to coach teams and align objectives with company strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead research lifecycle for corn and soybean trials from study design to field mapping.
• Oversee field activities, data collection, and supervision of part-time staff across sites.
• Perform statistical analysis; prepare reports and present findings to teams and stakeholders.
• Maintain equipment and support accurate treatment applications and data collection.
