Syngenta Seeds Field Crops seeks a Seeds Production Research Intern for Parent Characterization in Waterloo, NE. The role supports field trials, data collection, and agronomic evaluations to advance seed production and new product development.

As part of the Emerging Talent Program, you gain hands-on experience, exposure to day-to-day operations, and opportunities to apply academic knowledge while developing professional skills.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Agronomy, Biology, Ag Business, or related field, with graduation date Dec 2027 or later.
• Must be a current student continuing education after internship term.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Preferred sophomore or junior standing.
• May be required to lift 30 pounds.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented; able to follow procedures.
• Autonomous, self-motivated with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to learn and grow in the role.
• Previous internship or co-op in agriculture preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with field work outdoors preferred but not required.

Aufgaben

• Assist with Seed Parent Characterization activities across trial design, maintenance, harvest, and data collection.
• Lead one Seed Parent Characterization location for corn hybrid development.
• Support field planting, plot maintenance, and data collection throughout the season.
• Analyze data and prepare reports and presentations for assigned projects.
• Coordinate with SPR Scientists, Agronomists, and Seed colleagues to ensure good communication.
• Help manage part-time workers and ensure safety procedures are followed.
