Howden North America is seeking an Associate Director for Agricultural Modeling to lead advanced analytics in the U.S. crop insurance and reinsurance space. The role focuses on data preparation, model validation, and communicating results to stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in quantitative modeling, strong Python/R skills, and a technical degree. This is a remote position with flexibility and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of research and quantitative modeling experience in statistical, predictive, or simulation models.
• Strong programming in Python and/or R with data analysis and visualization skills.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a technical field; US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Execute agriculture modeling across data prep, validation, and results reporting.
• Develop crop yield models for major US crops and design stochastic yield simulations.
• Create in-season yield forecasting using weather, climate, and remote sensing data.
