Job summary

RTX, a U.S.-based technology leader in aerospace and defense, is seeking a Senior Engineer for Engine System Software to join Pratt & Whitney CDS/EDSI. The role focuses on developing and verifying software for engine control and diagnostics within an Agile environment.

You will decompose requirements, document traceability, and participate in planning, testing, and reviews, with opportunities to advance in an evolving, safety-critical setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) required.
• 5 years of engineering experience or 3 years with an advanced degree.
• Experience developing software in an Agile framework.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards such as DO-178B.

Responsibilities

• Develop software requirements and designs within the Agile Framework.
• Decompose system level and customer interface requirements into software requirements and designs.
• Document traceability or rationale for derived requirements and designs.
• Conduct iterative prototype testing of requirements and designs.
• Participate in software planning, estimating and tracking.
