Job summary

The MTA in New York seeks a Senior Agile Coach to advance Agile maturity across Product Line Teams by coaching leaders, Product Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and delivery teams in Agile and Lean practices.

This role partners with business and technology leaders to improve organizational effectiveness, delivery predictability, and customer value while supporting enterprise transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in Agile coaching and transformation.

Responsibilities

• Coaching Product Line Teams, Delivery Teams, and leadership on Agile values, principles, and practices.
• Assess Agile maturity across teams and portfolios, and develop tailored improvement plans.
• Facilitate organizational change and large-scale Agile transformation initiatives.
• Guide teams in adopting Lean-Agile ways of working, including SAFe, Kanban, or other relevant frameworks.
• Identify and remove organizational impediments impacting team velocity, quality, or collaboration.
• Coach Product Managers and Product Owners on product strategy, backlog management, prioritization, and value delivery.
• Improve sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making to enhance delivery predictability.
• Support dependency management across teams, programs, and portfolios to reduce bottlenecks and improve flow.
• Develop and evangelize Agile standards, governance models, and success metrics.
• Design and deliver training, workshops, and coaching programs to scale Agile knowledge.
• Collaborate with peers to refine tools, templates, and practices that support enterprise-wide Agile adoption.

The Senior Agile Coach is responsible for advancing Agile maturity across Product Line Teams by coaching leaders, Product Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and delivery teams in Agile principles, Lean practices, and product operating models. The role partners with business and technology leaders to improve organizational effectiveness, delivery predictability, and customer value while supporting enterprise transformation initiatives.

The Senior Agile Coach also contributes to the evolution of the Agile Center of Excellence by developing standards, governance, metrics, training, and continuous improvement practices that enable consistent Agile adoption across the enterprise.
