Job summary

Zendesk is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to lead the technical strategy for global customer engagements. You will design and implement agentic AI-driven workflows, assess AI readiness, and develop scalable accelerators while owning the technical lifecycle from qualification to deployment.

The role requires deep expertise in AI, APIs, cloud platforms, and enterprise software architecture, with travel 30–50% supported by a hybrid office schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics, or related quantitative field.
• 5+ years in technical presales, solution engineering, or system architecture in enterprise SaaS.
• Strong experience with modern web technologies (Python/JS), REST/SOAP APIs, and cloud architectures.
• Solid AI/ML knowledge including LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI automation.
• Understanding of CCaaS, ITSM, or enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Willingness to travel 30–50% annually for on-site architecture sessions.

Responsibilities

• Architect agentic AI workflows and integrations using LLMs and automation frameworks.
• Lead technical discovery, AI readiness assessments, and proof-of-concept demonstrations.
• Develop reusable accelerators, templates, and API components for scalable deployment.
• Own the technical sales lifecycle from qualification to execution with secure, scalable topologies.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to feedback and shape the roadmap.
