Accenture is seeking a Senior Advanced AI Research Engineer to bridge AI systems research and production platform engineering in Mountain View/US teams. You will translate research into scalable Python services and TypeScript SDK modules, build pluggable backends, and shape production-ready capabilities for enterprise workloads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent minimum 12 years' experience in CS/CE or related field.
• 5+ years Python and/or Node.js/TypeScript building production backend services or AI/ML systems.
• 5+ years hands-on AI/ML systems experience including LLMs, agent frameworks, or retrieval/memory architectures.
• 6+ years across research and production contexts with ability to ship research into running systems.
• 3+ years applied research translating findings into platform-integrated artefacts or open-source projects.
• Hands-on experience with async Python (FastAPI, asyncio), containerisation and Kubernetes, vector and relational databases, and observability (OpenTelemetry).
• Master's or PhD strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate active frontiers in agentic AI systems and benchmark production-relevant task profiles.
• Translate research findings into production-grade Python services or TS SDK modules.
• Prototype platform capabilities like inference routing and memory management.
• Instrument prototypes with observability for reproducibility and low-friction platform integration.
• Collaborate with platform engineers to integrate validated research into production systems.
• Mentor junior engineers on experimental methodology and production-grade code standards.
