Job summary

Accenture in Mountain View, CA seeks a Senior Advanced AI Research Engineer to bridge AI research and production platform engineering. You will turn research into engineered prototypes and platform-ready capabilities, writing both production code and research artefacts in a fast-paced environment.

You will design and ship backend services with Python/TypeScript, build pluggable memory and routing backends, and instrument with observability from day one, collaborating across teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent minimum 12 years) in CS/CE or related field.
• 5+ years Python and/or Node.js/TypeScript building production backend services or AI systems.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with AI/ML systems including LLMs, agent frameworks, or retrieval memory architectures.
• 6+ years across both research and production contexts preferred.
• Hands-on with async Python, FastAPI, containerisation and Kubernetes, and observability tooling.

Responsibilities

• Investigate active frontiers in agentic AI systems: memory, routing, autonomy, and long-horizon task reliability.
• Translate research findings into production-grade Python services or TypeScript SDK modules.
• Prototype and validate platform-level capabilities: routing policies, memory management, and control mechanisms.
• Instrument prototypes with observability: tracing, cost accounting, latency metrics.
• Collaborate with platform engineers, PMs, and architects to align research with client deployment needs.
