Job summary

EchoStar is seeking a Senior Agentic AI Engineer in San Mateo to design, build and productionize enterprise-grade autonomous AI services and multi-agent workflows. You will translate business needs into scalable microservices, implement MCP and A2A protocols, and balance probabilistic LLM behavior with deterministic code paths in a secure environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS, data science, AI or related field.
4+ years of software or data science experience.
Strong Python and microservices skills.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and deploy autonomous AI services and multi-agent workflows to production.
Implement MCP/A2A integrations for agent-to-tool and agent-to-agent coordination.
Architect hybrid control flows, state machines and graphs for multi-step reasoning.
Ensure runtime safety with sandboxed tool execution and strict egress controls.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable microservices.
Apply SRE principles with robust fallbacks and audit trails for observability.
