Job summary

Verizon Corporate Security is hiring a Principal Automation Engineer focused on AI and Agentic Workflows. The role emphasizes autonomous, hands-on development to turn concepts into production software, delivering business value quickly.

You will own end-to-end software delivery, scale automation with Kairos agents, and integrate data across heterogeneous systems while ensuring governance and rapid iteration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work/military experience or training.
• 5+ years of experience building and shipping production software end-to-end with ownership and measurable business outcomes.
• Experience shipping LLM applications to end users, with prompt/context engineering and system evaluation.
• Strong SQL skills, data agility, and comfort with cloud environments (GCP) and BI tools (Looker or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Build applications from specifications as a hands-on contributor.
• Build and operate the AI toolchain for repeatable spec-to-build processes.
• Scale automation by designing and deploying agents on Kairos platform.
• Integrate data across systems (SQL Server, BigQuery/EDW, GCP, Looker, vendor APIs).
• Develop evaluation harnesses with shadow testing and performance metrics.
• Demonstrate features weekly to stakeholders while navigating policy complexity.
