Lockton Affinity, a division of Lockton Companies, located in Overland Park is looking for an insurance professional that is customer service driven. The Senior Agency Service Manager position will be responsible for retention of renewals and cross-selling, marketing and service needs of Lockton Affinity agent/clients within our Agent Development Team. The position requires a solid understanding of Property and Casualty insurance fundamental. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of professionalism, possess the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and the flexibility to easily adapt to changing priorities.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for renewal retention and cross-selling within our Agent Distribution Team.
  • Develops and maintains favorable relationships with external agents with the goal of retaining clients and increasing revenue.
  • Initiates outbound calls to agents to follow up on pending renewals, and gather feedback to help us adjust our strategy to maximize growth.
  • Negotiates with underwriters in regard to pricing, terms and conditions.
  • Monitors and reports on trends, opportunities, challenges and recommends solutions.
  • Responsible for gathering updated renewal information, following up for bind orders and renewing policies.
  • Monitor retention results for book of business and communicates trends to leadership team.
  • Receives and submits accurate service requests such as endorsements, certificates and audits
  • Coordinate with other teams both internally and externally to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Effectively use multiple agency management systems to service, bind and renew policies.
  • Makes positive contribution to customer/agent satisfaction and constantly strives to improve service to the customer.
  • Communicates in a positive manner to contribute to a cohesive, pleasant work environment.
  • Protect the confidentiality of information learned by performing the duties of the position.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent education and/or experience preferred but not required.
  • Current P&C insurance license, or ability to obtain immediately.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience with MGA or Retail Agency preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of working knowledge of commercial property/casualty coverages.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and connect with people easily.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with computer technology with little instruction with proficiency at spreadsheet and word processing programs
  • Organizational and time management skills to prioritize heavy workloads to meet time sensitive deadlines.
  • Demonstrated professional, tactful negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve objectives.
  • Understanding of commercial rating concepts, compliance requirements and federal legislation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
