Job summary

SOLV Energy, LLC is seeking an experienced Assistant General Counsel to partner with executives on employment law, union relations, and regulatory compliance. The hybrid role requires in-office presence in San Diego, CA, reporting to the Deputy Chief Legal Officer and collaborating with the Chief Legal Officer.

Ideal candidate has a J.D., active bar status, 10+ years of post-bar experience in litigation, employment matters, and regulatory work, with in-house or complex litigation exposure.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school is required.
• Active bar membership in good standing.
• Minimum 10 years of post-bar legal experience with litigation, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
• Combination of law firm and in-house experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide employment law counsel to People Operations and business leadership on hiring, performance, leaves, accommodations, and workplace investigations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate employment, non-compete, non-solicitation, and confidentiality agreements.
• Advise on compliance with Title VII, FMLA, FLSA, NLRA, wage-hour laws, and state statutes.
• Manage litigation portfolio; supervise outside counsel and coordinate with executives on strategy and budgets.
• Support regulatory compliance programs and interactions with OSHA and other agencies.
