The associate will handle a mix of litigation and counseling work, including discrimination claims, wage/hour matters, non-compete disputes, employer investigations, policy drafting, and compliance training.

The role requires strong communication skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to collaborate with team members in a hybrid in-office environment.

Qualifications

• Must-have qualifications include JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admitted or eligible for admission in California.
• 3+ years of employment law experience.
• Experience litigating employment matters before state and federal courts and administrative agencies.
• Experience advising employers on compliance and HR-related issues.
• Experience drafting employment policies and agreements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in team settings.

Responsibilities

• Litigate employment matters in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies.
• Advise employers on day-to-day HR and compliance issues.
• Draft employment-related documents including: Employee handbooks, Employment agreements, Separation agreements, Workplace policies.
• Conduct workplace investigations.
• Provide employment-related compliance training.
• Participate in case strategy, discovery, motion practice, and client meetings.
• Collaborate with team members in accordance with the firm’s 60% onsite expectation.
