Job summary

YMCA Loudoun in Sterling, VA is seeking a part-time Senior Program Leader for the Pre-K / Kindergarten program. You will lead activities, design age-appropriate plans, mentor Group Leaders, and communicate with families to ensure a safe, engaging environment after school hours.

The role focuses on creating positive experiences for early learners, while collaborating with site leadership and maintaining strong safety and attendance practices. CPR/First Aid preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience with children ages 3–6 in a licensed or educational setting.
• High school diploma or GED; CDA or EC coursework preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Experience fostering environment for children of all abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise activities for Pre-K and Kindergarten.
• Design developmentally appropriate lesson plans and routines.
• Provide mentorship and support to Group Leaders.
• Communicate with families and site leadership.
• Monitor safety, attendance, and behavior.
• Build strong relationships with children.
