Job summary

The Boeing Company in Berkeley, MO is seeking an Experienced Tooling Engineer to lead design, development, installation, and sustainment of production tooling, fixtures, and automated systems. You will collaborate across design, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers, validating tooling with GD&T, 3D CAD, and full documentation.

In this role you’ll mentor junior engineers, drive continuous improvement, and ensure safety, cost, and schedule objectives are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related field.
• Advanced proficiency with 3D CAD and experience producing detailed tooling drawings.
• Deep knowledge of GD&T, tolerancing, and metrology.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and working with suppliers.
• Ability to deliver tooling projects on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, qualification, and release of production tooling and fixtures.
• Define tooling requirements with design, manufacturing, and QA; create specs, 3D models, drawings, and BOMs.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for tooling issues.
• Mentor P1/P2 tooling engineers and drive cross-program tooling strategy.
