Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics in Burbank, CA is seeking a Sr. Research Technician (Temp/Contract) to manufacture and checkout electronics test equipment, assemble to drawings, wire and solder to wire lists and schematics, and troubleshoot Acceptance Test Equipment used in Engineering Development and Production.

The role emphasizes 70% fabrication and 30% testing of ATEs; minimum 6 months with potential to convert to full-time direct hire.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in Electronics or 5 years experience in Test Electronics assembly, wiring and soldering.
• Ability to read and work to assembly drawings, schematics, and wire lists.
• Familiarity with Aerospace/Military standards for assembly and workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Work independently and in a team with Test Engineers.
• Contribute to dry run test procedures related to Automated Test Equipment (ATEs).
• Fabricate and maintain cables, harnesses, PCBs, ATEs per drawings.
• Build, inspect, diagnose, and maintain connections of ATEs.
• Fabrication 70% and testing 30% of ATEs, supporting landing systems and cabin.
